Efthemes and Irene Sioukiouroglou
Ministering
to refugees in Greece, Serving with Fellowship International Mission
Efthemes and Irene Sioukiouroglou seek to minister among refugees in their
native Greece, using friendship evangelism as an avenue for meeting both
spiritual and physical needs, such as food, clothing and employment. They
also desire to disciple new believers with the desire that they will be
able to reach other family members for Christ. Since Greece is a crossroad
between Africa, Asia and Europe, refugees, including Kurds, come from Afghanistan,
Iraq, Pakistan and Turkey. Having been displaced, they tend to be more
receptive to the Gospel.
Both Efthemes and Irene trusted Christ as personal Savior while children.
Graduates of the Greek Bible Institute, they established a Christian
bookstore and planted a church in Kastoria, Greece, where no evangelical
churches had existed. They have a daughter, Daphne (July 8, 1999). They
would welcome those who would support them through prayer and finances.
